Manchester United has made a third attempt to acquire Bryan Mbeumo, a forward for Brentford, for £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Brentford has not yet made a decision after examining the offer.

Reports state that after the previous bid, which was worth £55 million + £7.5 million, was turned down a few weeks ago, a fresh one was anticipated.

Mbeumo has only been interested in joining United for more than a month, and it is believed that the club has been inspired by his will to do so.

The Cameroon international returned to pre-season training with Brentford earlier this week along with another player whose future is uncertain; Yoane Wissa.

United have always been hopeful of doing a deal for Mbeumo in time to take him on their tour to the United States later this month.

He has been a primary target for them this summer after signing Matheus Cunha, while they are also still in the market for a centre-forward.
