17 Nigerian Athletes Bound for World Athletics Relays

Nigeria will be represented by a 17-member squad at the upcoming 2025 World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China Cyber Reporters reports.

The competition is set to take place next month and will feature some of the country’s top athletes.

Reports say the Nigerian team will compete in four events, including the men’s and women’s 4x100m relays, mixed 4x100m relay, and mixed 4x400m relay.

The squad comprises eight male and nine female athletes who are expected to showcase their skills on the global stage.

The men’s 4x100m team includes notable athletes such as Favour Ashe, Alaba Akintola, Karlington Anunagba, Udodi Onwuzurike, Fola Olaoye, and Usheoritse Itsekiri.

The women’s 4x100m squad features top athletes like Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, Tobi Amusan, Umukoro Success, Tiana Eyakpobeyan, and Jennifer Chukwuka.

Meanwhile, the mixed 4x100m relay team includes Rosemary Chukwuma, Favour Ofili, Umukoro Success, Favour Ashe, Alaba Akintola, and Udodi Onwuzurike.

The mixed 4x400m relay squad comprises experienced athletes like Patience Okon George, Omolara Ogunmakinju, Chidi Okezie, Samson Nathaniel, and Emmanuel Ojeli.

With a strong team in place, Nigeria’s athletes are expected to put up a good fight at the World Athletics Relays.
