Egypt’s Under-20 coach, Osama Nabih has praised Nigeria’s Flying Eagles after their 2-1 friendly win on Tuesday.

Cyber Reporters reports that despite the narrow defeat, Nabih commended his team’s performance, highlighting their resilience and skill.

The match saw Nigeria take an early lead through Kparobo Arierhi, but Egypt equalized through Ahmed Kaabaka’s well-crafted goal.

However, Precious Benjamin’s penalty in the 84th minute sealed the win for the Flying Eagles.

Nabih praised his players for their technical, tactical, and physical performance, noting that they controlled key moments and posed a threat.

He added that Egypt had scoring opportunities but lacked clinical finishing.

Egypt’s Under-20 team will apply the lessons learned from this match as they compete in Group A of the 2025 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

They would play alongside Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania, starting with their opening match against Zambia on April 27 in Cairo.
