Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has expressed regret to Jeremy Doku and acknowledged that he has treated him unfairly.

Doku has been benched for their recent games by Guardiola.  In the last three games, the Belgian international had to enter as a substitute.

Last Sunday, when the score was still 0-0 against Everton, Doku entered the game and helped the Premier League champions win 2-0.

Guardiola has chosen a formation that prioritizes defensive strength and possession-holding midfielders since the March international break.

Doku and Savinho’s playing time has been affected by this change.
