Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to devote his future to the club by signing a new huge contract, with a focus on the 2026 World Cup, according to Marca.

Ronaldo has committed to continue with the Saudi Pro League team for another two seasons.

The second year is optional and will rely on performance and preference.

This deal will keep the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in Riyadh until at least 2026.  The period is well scheduled to coincide with his hopes to play for Portugal in the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

While negotiations had been ongoing for several months, and initial hopes pointed to a quick resolution back in January, the official confirmation was delayed due to the deal’s unique character.

Ronaldo’s new contract is reported to be worth up to €200 million per year.
