Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that defender Ola Aina will miss the upcoming Premier League match against Everton due to an injury.
Cyber Reporters reports that Aina, a key player for Forest, sustained a calf injury during the club’s win over Manchester United two weeks ago.
He was unable to play in last weekend’s defeat to Aston Villa.
Nuno expressed his disappointment about Aina’s unavailability for the Everton match, saying, “For this game, no, unfortunately not.”
However, he remains optimistic about Aina’s recovery, adding, “For the next one, we hope. It is going to be assessing day by day.”
The manager also praised Aina’s dedication to returning to the pitch, noting that he has been spending hours at the training ground receiving treatment.
Aina’s absence will be a significant blow to Forest’s defensive lineup, but Nuno is hopeful that the player will return to action soon.
Forest currently sit third in the Premier League table with 57 points from 31 games, 16 points behind leaders Liverpool.
The team will be looking to bounce back from their recent loss, and Aina’s return could be crucial in their bid to compete for a top-four finish.
