Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will return to Abuja next week to finalize their preparations for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Cyber Reporters understands that the team, led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, relocated back to Abuja on Monday for the second phase of their training camp.

Earlier, the Flying Eagles spent three weeks in Katsina for the first phase of their preparations.

The team’s training camp in Katsina provided an ideal setting for the players to hone their skills and work on their team dynamics.

With the second phase of their preparations now underway in Abuja, the team is focused on fine-tuning their strategy and building momentum ahead of the tournament.

Cyber Reporters gathered that a total of 35 players, comprising three goalkeepers, eight defenders, 10 midfielders, and 14 forwards, will compete fiercely for a place in the final squad.

The competition will narrow down to 21 players, who will make up the final team that will represent Nigeria at the tournament.

The 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations is scheduled to kick off on April 27 in Cairo, Egypt.

The top four semi-finalists in Egypt will earn a spot to represent Africa at the highly anticipated FIFA U20 World Cup finals, scheduled to take place in Chile later this year.
