If Chelsea decides against making a permanent move for Jadon Sancho in the summer, they will have to pay Manchester United about £5 million.

Last summer, Sancho went on loan to the Blues for the entire season.  Chelsea is need to permanently acquire Sancho for £25 million as part of the deal between the two Premier League teams.

According to The Athletic, a stipulation in the contract stipulates that they would still be required to pay the Red Devils a set sum of £5 million in the event that they choose not to sign the player permanently.

Sancho had a strong start to his career at Stamford Bridge, helping out in each of his first three league games.

However, since then, the England midfielder’s form has dipped, with Sancho scoring just two goals and providing only one more assist in the subsequent 20 league matches.
