Nigeria’s Super Eagles have kicked off their preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda, with key players arriving in Kigali.

Cyber Reporters gathered star striker Victor Osimhen, along with Bruno Onyemaechi, Papa Daniel Mustapha, and Kayode Bankole, were the first to arrive in Rwanda.

This marks the beginning of the team’s buildup for Friday’s crucial match.

A video shared on the team’s official X handle on Monday, March 17, showed the players being welcomed by head coach Eric Chelle and team staff at Kigali International Airport.

The Super Eagles captioned the video, announcing the early arrival of the four players.

They are part of the final 23-man squad invited by Coach Chelle for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The early arrival of the players and some officials signals the team’s commitment to preparing thoroughly for the crucial match against Rwanda.

With Osimhen and other key players already on the ground, the Super Eagles are gearing up for a tough encounter.

The team’s preparations are expected to intensify in the coming days, with Coach Chelle working to fine-tune his strategy and ensure the team is ready for the challenge ahead.
