Norwegian team ODDS BK has signed Nigerian midfielder Adam Mukhtar. The tiny club decided to recruit the youngster after he impressed during his trial period.
Mukhtar, who joined Odd from Nigerian National League (NNL) team Sporting Lagos, has signed a deal until 2027.
“I am incredibly happy and excited. This is a moment I have been waiting for my whole life, and it is the biggest moment of my career so far,” he told the club’s official website.
Many youngsters have struggled to cope with the rigours playing in Europe at the start of their career.
“I hope to adapt quickly, because I already feel that this is a step up from football in Africa. My teammates and the coaching staff have been fantastic with me – they have helped me both on and off the pitch. I really feel at home here,” he added.
