Shukurat Oladipo Leaves NWFL to Join Roma

Nigerian defender, Shukurat Oladipo has expressed her pleasure after joining Italian Femminile side AS Roma.

The 20-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Giallorossi after leaving

Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) club Robo Queens. Oladipo, a centre-back, believes that the relocation to Italy will be a life-changing experience for her, both personally and professionally.

I’m very happy; I feel so excited. It’s a very big opportunity for me to join a very big team like AS Roma,” Oladipo told the club’s official website

“Me coming to Italy and playing for AS Roma is a very big, life-changing experience for me. It will help my career grow and also help me grow as a person and a footballer,” she added.

Oladipo joined Roma after making 178 appearances with the Robo Queens.

Her excellent accomplishments won her international notice, including two senior caps for Nigeria and a spot in the U-20 World Cup.
