Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr’s attacker, has agreed to a new contract extension with the club, only days after turning 40.

Ronaldo signed the Saudi Pro League club in January 2023 on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

That initial agreement would have seen his contract expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.

However, an Al-Nassr official has informed the AFP that the Portugal captain has decided to stay for an additional year. The new arrangement will last until June 2026.

The official said: “The sides have agreed on the renewable extension of Ronaldo’s contract, but it has not been signed yet.

An announcement will be made over the coming days.”

This announcement comes less than a week after Ronaldo turned 40.

The former Manchester United forward scored against Al Feiha to help Al-Nassr win 3-0.
