Manchester City completed the deadline-day acquisition of Nico Gonzalez from Porto.
According to Cityzens, Gonzalez is Pep Guardiola’s fourth signing of the winter transfer season.
Gonzalez joined Manchester City on a four-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him with the Premier League champions until 2029.
Prior to Gonzalez’s arrival, Guardiola’s team had recruited Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, and Omar Marmoush.
“This is the perfect opportunity for me at this stage of my career,” Gonzalez said after joining City.
“I am 23 and I want to test myself in England. There’s no better club than Manchester City for me to do that.”
Man City has confirmed that Jacob Wright has joined Norwich City on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Wright has made four senior appearances for Man City in the past two seasons and will now continue his development at Carrow Road for the rest of the season.
“Everyone at Manchester City wishes Jacob well for the rest of the season,” City’s statement partly read.
