Kano Pillars, former champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, have suspended their technical adviser, Usman Abdallah, for three weeks.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the decision was made due to the team’s poor start to the 2024-2025 season.

The suspension comes after Kano Pillars’ recent goalless draw against Bayelsa United at home. The team’s performance has been underwhelming, and the management has decided to take action.

Abdallah’s interaction with fans after the match also received negative feedback, contributing to the decision.

The club announced the suspension via a statement on X, acknowledging the need for a change in leadership to improve the team’s performance.

According to the statement, Ahmed Garba, popularly known as Yaro Yaro, will take over as interim coach during Abdallah’s absence.

Cyber Reporters reports that Kano Pillars has struggled lately, failing to win their last two matches.

The team suffered a 4-1 defeat against newly promoted Ikorodu City, followed by the goalless draw against Bayelsa United.

This poor form has resulted in the team dropping to 10th place on the league table.

With 29 points from 21 games, Kano Pillars is facing a challenging season. The team’s management hopes that the change in leadership will bring about a positive impact on the team’s performance.

Yaro’s experience and expertise will be crucial in helping the team regroup and refocus.

Yaro’s first test as interim coach will be a match against league leaders Remo Stars next Sunday.

The match will be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, providing a tough challenge for Kano Pillars.

However, it also presents an opportunity for the team to bounce back and improve their standing in the league table.
