Nigeria forward, Victor Boniface has agreed to a new one-year deal with Bayer Leverkusen, a Bundesliga team. The current term of Boniface’s contract with Die Werkself is 2029.
At Leverkusen, the 24-year-old is currently among the highest paid players. The Bundesliga winners do not believe the forward is unsellable, even though they have extended his contract.
Leverkusen will require potential suitors to contribute at least €50 million. Saudi Arabian clubs are keeping an eye on the Nigerian.
Boniface joined Xabi Alonso’s team from Belgian Pro League club Union Saint-Gillloise in 2023. He won the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal in his first season with the club.
