Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is facing allegations of punching a journalist during a late-night outing in Istanbul, Turkey.
Cyber Reporters gathered that the incident occurred as Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue with friends.
According to Posta Newspaper, a group of reporters, including journalist Tolga Bozduman, attempted to take pictures of the Nigerian striker. However, the situation quickly escalated into chaos.
Bozduman recounted the incident, stating that he filmed Osimhen at the door with his colleagues.
When the camera flashes went off, Osimhen allegedly ran towards him, screaming, and tried to take his camera away.
Bozduman claimed Osimhen punched him in the head, causing him pain on his right side.
The journalist also alleged that Osimhen offered him money to destroy the footage and threatened him when he refused.
These allegations have yet to be officially addressed by Osimhen or his club, Galatasaray.
Despite the controversy, Osimhen has been performing well on the pitch, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists in 19 matches across all competitions.
Osimhen’s impressive form has been a highlight of his loan spell at Galatasaray from Napoli.
However, the allegations against him have raised concerns about his behavior off the pitch.
