The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced the schedule for the national draw of the 2025 President Federation Cup.

Cyber Reporters reports that the draw is set to take place on Friday, April 11, at the NFF secretariat in Abuja.

A total of 72 clubs will participate in the tournament, with two clubs from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and one from the Federal Capital Territory.

This format ensures that teams from all over the country have an opportunity to compete in the prestigious tournament.

The men’s competition will kick off with the Round of 64 matches, which will take place over the weekend of Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, 2025.

This stage of the tournament will determine which teams advance to the next round.

Following the Round of 64, the competition will progress to the Round of 16, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The quarterfinals will then be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

The semi-finals of the men’s competition are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The winners of these matches will advance to the final, which will be played on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

The winner of the men’s competition will earn the esteemed opportunity to represent Nigeria in the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup.

This is a significant incentive for the participating teams, as it provides a chance to compete on the international stage.

The women’s competition will also take place, with the winner to be crowned in the grand finale.

Although the exact schedule for the women’s competition has not been released, it is expected to follow a similar format to the men’s tournament.

Last year’s champions, El-Kanemi Warriors (men’s division) and Rivers Angels (women’s division), have set the bar high for the upcoming tournaments.
