Real Madrid head coach, Carlo Ancelotti denied the rumors that he would step down at the end of the current campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has denied reports that he will step down at the end of the current campaign. Rather, he said he wanted to stay for another four years.

According to Pulse Sports, Carlo Ancelotti reportedly made the decision to resign as manager of Real Madrid at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Even if Ancelotti extended his contract with Los Blancos in December 2023 amid rumors that he was considering a position with the Brazilian national team, this news comes anyway.

Given his prior remarks about wanting to stay at Real Madrid for as long as possible, it was shocking when it was reported that the Italian had decided to terminate the contract in December a year earlier.

The deal expires at the end of the following season. “I hope to stay until 2029,” he said, dismissing the idea that he was getting ready to quit. He hopes that Florentino Perez, who was just elected to a new term ending in 2029, will leave at the same time as him.

“I’ve absolutely NOT decided to leave Real Madrid,” he stated explicitly. “I hope to stay for FOUR more years, same as president Florentino Pérez. That would be perfect in order to do a big farewell together in 2029.”
