Al Nassr striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to extend his contract with the club, which will keep him as the “highest-paid player in history”., according to Goal.
Ronaldo is said to be close to reaching an agreement on a £173 million contract each season. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s current contract will end in the summer.
However, it appears that Ronaldo is prepared to continue playing with Al Nassr. The 39-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs, including Al-Hilal, where Neymar Jr presently plays.
It is believed, however, that Ronaldo prefers to compete with them rather than representing them.
Ronaldo is now seeking assurances that Al Nassr will spend heavily during the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo has 81 goals in 90 matches with Al-Nassr. He has already become a goal scoring centurion at former clubs Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
