Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, club, Rivers Angels, have unveiled their new head coach, Tosan Blackson.
Blackson has been tasked with leading the team to victory, with the goal of winning the title for the Port Harcourt club.
Cyber Reporters reports that Rivers Angels last won the title three years ago, with Delta Queens and Edo Queens emerging as champions in the past two years.
The club is looking to reclaim its position as a top contender in the league.
To strengthen their squad, Rivers Angels have signed six new players: Taiwo Afolabi, Fatima Oloko, Anderline Mgbechi, Yusuf Nana, Aweda Titilayo, and Saka Sadiat.
These new additions is expected to bring fresh talent and energy to the team.The club also unveiled their new jerseys for the upcoming season.
The new jerseys are a symbol of the team’s renewed commitment to excellence and their determination to succeed in the NWFL.
Rivers Angels will kick off their NWFL campaign against Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
