Real Madrid Football icon, Roberto Carlos, is facing a serious legal battle following a bitter divorce from his wife of over 15 years, Mariana Lucon.
According to Spanish site Estadio Deportivo, the 51-year-old Brazilian legend is currently living at Real Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas while the court battle over his €160 million (£133 million) riches intensifies.
Carlos married Lucon in 2009 and has two daughters, Manuela and Mariana.
However, their divorce has apparently left Lucon in control of their principal residence, while Carlos’ in-laws occupy his secondary residence.
Carlos’ €160 million fortune, accumulated during his brilliant career and post-retirement endeavors, lies at the heart of the divorce proceedings.
The legendary full-back was best known for his 11-year stint with Real Madrid, where he won three Champions League crowns and four La Liga trophies.
