AJ Auxerre’s Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho is facing a fitness battle ahead of Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg.

Cyber Reporters gathered that Osho picked up an injury in Auxerre’s Coupe de France match against Dunkerque last month and is racing against time to be fit.

The 26-year-old has been a key player for Auxerre this season, scoring once in 12 league appearances.

His potential absence could be a significant blow to Auxerre’s chances of securing a win against Strasbourg.

Auxerre are currently eighth in the Ligue 1 table, while Strasbourg are 13th, four points behind.

The match on Sunday will be a crucial one for both teams as they look to improve their positions in the table.

Osho joined Auxerre on a free transfer last summer and has been an important part of the team’s defense.

His injury has thrown a spanner in the works for Auxerre, and they will be hoping he can recover in time for the match against Strasbourg.
