Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has stated that his job is “in danger” as the team’s poor run continues.
On Boxing Day, Manchester United suffered their third consecutive defeat, this time to Wolves, 2-0.
However, despite the mitigating factors that have led to United’s five defeats in the last seven games, Amorim has stated that he does not feel comfortable at Old Trafford.
“The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable,” Amorim said.
“I know that if we don’t win, regardless, if they pay the buyout [for me] or not, I know that every manager is in danger and I like that because that is the job, so I understand the question.
“You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training [sessions], but we are not winning. That is the reality and I’m quite comfortable with that.”
Amorim succeeded Erik ten Hag during the November international break and has had little time to work with his squad.
