Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has reacted to winger Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension.
Mudryk was given a temporary suspension after testing positive for doping.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian international also acknowledged that he tested positive for a banned substance.
He stated that he had never intentionally utilized any illegal substances.
Maresca, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League match against Shamrock Rovers on Thursday, claimed Mudryk was innocent.
“We all believe Mudryk is innocent. For sure he will come back,” Maresca said at his pre-match interview
“I don’t think Misha’s Chelsea career is over. I think he will come back.
“We don’t know when, that is the only doubt we have in this moment. But for sure, he will be back.”
