President Bola Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries to the federal civil service to address current and forthcoming vacancies in various states and geopolitical zones.

According to a statement issued on Monday evening by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the appointments were made on recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service after a rigorous vetting process.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are OnwusoroIhemelandu from Abia State; Ndiomu Philip from Bayelsa State; Anuma Nlia from Ebonyi State; Ogbodo  Nnam from Enugu State; Kalba Usman from Gombe State; Usman Aminu from Kebbi State; Oyekunle Nwakuso from Rivers State; and Nadungu Gagare from Kaduna State.

Following the first group of permanent secretaries announced in June of last year, which had members from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, and other regions, this is the second group of secretaries Tinubu has nominated.

The new secretaries were asked by President Tinubu to serve the country with steadfast commitment, devotion, and inventiveness.
