CAF Awards: Super Falcons win National Team of the Year

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been named National Team of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards.

The nine-time African champions defeated Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses and South Africa’s Banyana Banyana to win the trophy.

Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), accepted the medal on behalf of the team.

The Super Falcons are currently the continent’s highest-ranked squad.

The 2024 CAF Awards holds in Marrakech, Morocco today Monday, December 16 in a spectacular celebration of African football.

The event which is aimed at recognizing the continent’s top players, coaches, and teams took place at the Palais des Congrès

Africa’s top football experts voted for their favorite players in a variety of categories for men and women, including the coveted Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, and Young Player of the Year.
