The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, NAIA, has been temporarily shut down after a cargo plane operated by Allied Air crash-landed on Wednesday morning.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the aircraft, with registration number 5N-JRT, experienced a landing gear failure, resulting in the crash.

Fortunately, all six crew members on board were safely evacuated, with no casualties reported.

Reports say they are currently undergoing medical checks at the 063 Nigerian Air Force medical unit.

The airport’s runway has been closed, causing delays for incoming and outgoing flights.

It was gathered that Airport authorities, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, are working to remove the aircraft and inspect the runway for potential damage.

Emergency responders quickly secured the crash site, cordoning off the area under the supervision of the Military Airport Commandant and other agencies.
