A mysterious fire has engulfed the former JFM building, now housing Current FM, near Edewor Shopping Plaza in Effurun, Delta State.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the blaze, which has spread to the third floor, has sparked fears of it extending to nearby structures.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. An investigation into the incident has not yet commenced, and officials are still trying to determine the origin of the blaze.

Reports say despite efforts by the Delta State Fire Service to extinguish the flames, they were hindered by a lack of water, allowing the fire to continue ravaging the building.

The fire service’s inability to contain the fire has raised concerns about the preparedness of emergency services in the area.

It was gathered that police officers have been deployed to the scene to maintain order and prevent looting.

The officers are working to secure the area and prevent any potential threats to people and property.

The situation remains tense, with the fire still burning and the risk of it spreading to nearby buildings.

Residents are anxiously watching and hoping for a swift intervention to prevent further destruction.
