Augustine Eguavoen, the caretaker coach of the Super Eagles, has announced a 30-man squad for the upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship, CHAN, qualifier against Ghana’s Black Galaxies.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the team is comprised of players from Nigeria’s domestic leagues, in line with the CHAN’s eligibility criteria.

The squad includes several notable players, such as Kano Pillars’ midfielder Rabiu Ali, who has scored eight goals this season.

Other players called up include Remo Stars’ goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole, Rivers United defender Steven Mayo, and Abia Warriors’ forward Sunday Megwo.

Experienced striker Sikiru Alimi, Nasarawa United defender Victor Collins, and Kwara United midfielder Emmanuel Ogbole are also part of the squad.

The players have been instructed to report to the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles will face Ghana’s Black Galaxies in a two-legged qualifier, with the first leg taking place at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 22.

The second leg will be held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on December 28.

The CHAN qualifier is an important tournament for the Super Eagles, and Eguavoen’s squad selection will be crucial in determining the team’s success.
