President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing education for Nigerian children during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of reducing the number of out-of-school children through innovative initiatives and skills development programs.

Tinubu outlined plans to create a supportive framework that ensures school-age children re-enter classrooms, highlighting the role of motivation and skill acquisition.

The president noted that skills development will be crucial in bridging the gap for children who have been out of school for a while.

Tinubu was accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and together they met with President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.

He emphasized that Nigeria’s developmental potential relies heavily on a well-educated populace.

Tinubu also acknowledged the challenges posed by insecurity in some parts of the country, making it difficult for children to return to school.

However, he expressed optimism about the progress made in enhancing security across Nigeria.

President Macron, on his part, acknowledged Nigeria’s vast growth potential and the importance of investing in educational initiatives.

Macron reflected on his formative experiences during a six-month internship at the French Embassy in Nigeria.

The meeting concluded with President Macron and Brigitte Macron expressing gratitude to President Tinubu and Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their State Visit, promising to elevate the France-Nigeria partnership to new heights.
