Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has expressed gratitude to God after a life-threatening health emergency that left her fighting for her life.
The veteran actress described her terrifying ordeal in an Instagram post for Thanksgiving, explaining how she had to have emergency surgery after suffering from crippling stomach agony, chronic vomiting, and extreme back and chest pain.
Omotola disclosed that her ordeal started while she was filming and attending the Gladiator II screening for Academy Voting Members.
Despite her excitement about the event, she struggled to stay upright during the screening as her symptoms intensified.
The actress, who described her recovery as a “fight for her life,” took the opportunity to reflect on the value of appreciation and the fragility of life.
Sharing a video detailing her experience, she wrote, “Happy thanksgiving! please join me as I thank God for life and good health. (so my first caption didn’t post and this is another not as passionate as the first one ) arghhh.
“So the fight for my life began and today, I am returning to give all the glory to God. So on this day, whether you’re in the US or not, there’s so much to thank God for, take some time to join in and give thanks. Not only the gift of life, but the gift of good health. The gift of a complete body or a sane mind to even dream of a better day.”
