Leicester City has parted ways with manager Steve Cooper, after the Foxes’ 2-1 loss to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Cooper’s dismissal marks the end of his tenure at Leicester City, with the team currently sitting 16th in the Premier League after 12 games.

In the interim, first-team coach Ben Dawson will take charge of training, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes.

The club is expected to begin the process of appointing a new manager, with the aim of concluding the search as soon as possible.

The statement from Leicester City reads: “Men’s first team training will be overseen by first team coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible.”

Cooper’s departure marks a significant change for Leicester City, and the club will be looking to find a suitable replacement to guide the team through the remainder of the season.
