Chelsea secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, moving within a point of second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League.

Cyber Reporters reports that the visitors dominated possession from the outset, with Nicolas Jackson giving them a deserved early lead.

Chelsea continued to press, but failed to capitalize on their superiority until the 75th minute, when Enzo Fernandez scored to make it 2-0.

Leicester substitute, Jordan Ayew pulled a goal back from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time, but it was too little, too late.

The win lifts Chelsea to 22 points, one behind Manchester City and three clear of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Chelsea’s victory was a testament to their growing confidence, with Joao Felix making his first Premier League start of the season.

The visitors zipped the ball around with confidence, creating several scoring opportunities in the process.

Leicester remain just three points above the relegation zone. The defeat adds to the pressure on manager Steve Cooper, who announced earlier this week that winger Abdul Fatawu would miss the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury.

The win marks a significant milestone for Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who returned to the King Power Stadium for the first time since leaving Leicester last season.
