Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled a massive ₦3 trillion budget proposal for 2025, dubbed the “Budget of Sustainability”.

According to governor Sanwo-Olu, this ambitious plan is designed to drive infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved public services in Lagos, ensuring the state remains a hub of prosperity and innovation.

The budget focuses on five key areas: infrastructure development, sustainability, economic growth, diversification, and institutional reforms.

These pillars are aimed at enhancing the state’s physical infrastructure, promoting environmental and social sustainability, boosting economic growth, reducing dependence on a single sector, and strengthening institutions for good governance and accountability.

Governor Sanwo-Olu presented the budget proposal to the Lagos State House of Assembly, with Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat and Speaker Mudashiru Obasa in attendance.

This proposal builds on the success of the 2024 Appropriation Bill.
