Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo has set its sights on Nigerian striker, Josh Maja currently impressing at West Bromwich Albion.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the Sky Blues are preparing a January transfer move for the in-form forward.

Maja’s impressive form this season has caught Celta Vigo’s attention.

The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and provided one assist in 15 league appearances for West Brom.

His pace, skill, and goal-scoring ability makes him an attractive target.

Celta Vigo’s interest in Maja stems from their need to replace veteran striker Iago Aspas, whose contract expires next summer.

Aspas has been the team’s top scorer for several seasons, and his departure would leave a significant void. Maja’s signing would help fill this gap.

West Brom has set a €20 million price tag on Maja, reflecting his value to the team.

The Nigerian striker’s current contract with West Brom runs until 2026, giving the club leverage in negotiations.

Celta Vigo’s pursuit of Maja underscores their ambition to strengthen their attacking lineup. Currently sitting 13th in the La Liga standings, the team seeks to improve its scoring prowess and climb the table.

As the January transfer window approaches, Celta Vigo’s interest in Josh Maja will likely intensify.

With West Brom’s asking price set, negotiations will determine whether Maja joins the Spanish outfit or remains at West Brom.
