Federal investigators in the US have purportedly invaded the cell of controversial American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Cyber Reporters report.

The officials apparently took away a slew of privileged files, as well as his own writing notes intended for his defense team’s future trial.

Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s attorney, stated this while accusing prosecutors of utilizing confidential legal writings confiscated from the singer’s detention cell to keep him behind bars until his May trial.

In a new filing filed in Manhattan federal court, Diddy’s defense team claimed that officials confiscated legally sensitive documents that should not have been in the hands of prosecutors.

His lawyer informed Judge Arun Subramanian that “this search and seizure violate Combs’ Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.”

Diddy’s legal team also demanded that prosecutors explain who ordered the search of the singer’s cell, where personal belongings and documentation were seized.

However, Judge Subramanian gave prosecutors until 5 p.m. ET Monday to respond to Diddy’s lawyers and scheduled a hearing on the topic for Tuesday afternoon.

Recall that Diddy has been in pre-trial jail since September 2024, awaiting his trial.
