Galatasaray’s technical director, Okan Buruk, has confirmed the existence of a January clause in Victor Osimhen’s loan contract from Napoli.

In an interview on the Turkish champions’ official website, Buruk discussed various team-related topics.

Regarding Osimhen’s future, Buruk stated that the Nigerian striker intends to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season, despite the transfer clause.

“Osimhen wants to stay until the season ends, consistently expressing this desire since his arrival,” Buruk emphasized.

The technical director shared insights into how Galatasaray secured Osimhen’s services.

“I visited Milan, where we built a rapport over dinner. Later, we discussed possibilities via video call, and after deliberations with our transfer committee and president, we completed the transfer.”

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on the final day of the summer transfer window after unsuccessful negotiations with Chelsea and Al Ahly.

He has since excelled, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in nine appearances across all competitions.
