Nigeria’s very own Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has made history as the first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe competition in Mexico.

Cyber Reorters gathered that Adetshina narrowly missed the top spot, finishing second behind Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.

As the first runner-up, Adetshina was also crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, a testament to her stunning beauty and captivating stage presence.

What is even more remarkable is that Adetshina is the first Miss Universe Nigeria to break into the top two on the global stage.

Adetshina’s journey to this achievement was not without its challenges, though as she had initially entered the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant but withdrew due to controversy surrounding her nationality.

Cyber Reporters recalls that despite this setback, Adetshina persevered and went on to win Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

Now, as Miss Universe Nigeria, Africa, and Oceania, Adetshina’s victory is being hailed as a proud moment for Nigeria.

Her achievement serves as a reminder that with determination and hard work, anything is possible, even in the face of adversity.
