Manchester City’s Rodri Reveals His 2024 Ballon d’Or Picks

Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, has expressed admiration for Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior.

In a surprising revelation, Rodri stated he would have voted Carvajal second and Vinicius third.

Rodri’s exceptional performances for Manchester City and Spain earned him the prestigious award, ahead of Vinicius (second) and Jude Bellingham (third).

“I’d vote Dani Carvajal 2nd at the Ballon d’Or… and Vinicius Jr as 3rd,” Rodri said.

Currently recovering from an ACL injury suffered in September, Rodri remains optimistic about returning this season.

“I believe I can return this season, yes. It’s possible, and I’m determined to make it happen,” he emphasized. “I’m focused on my recovery without feeling pressured. The season is long, and with the new Clubs’ World Cup ahead, I feel I can contribute.”

Rodri’s absence has affected Manchester City, with four losses in all competitions, leaving them second in the Premier League, five points behind Liverpool.
