A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Adamawa State for allegedly killing his three-day-old baby boy in Mubi North Local Government Area.
Cyber Reporters gathered that the suspect’s girlfriend, who is also the baby’s mother, reported the incident to the police.
According to reports, the suspect had impregnated the mother and after she gave birth, she invited him to visit.
During his visit, he sent the mother on an errand and took the baby, killing him and burying the body in the Girpata area of Mubi.
The Adamawa Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest, stating that the suspect was detained on November 8th.
Mubi North Local Government Area, where the incident occurred, is one of the 21 LGAs in Adamawa State, with its headquarters located in Mubi.
The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has ordered the case to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
