VeryDarkMan, a social media critic, has expressed frustration over the controversy surrounding Stephen Abuwatseya, an e-hailing driver, and Alex Ikwechegh, a House of Representatives member from Abia State.

Cyber Reporters reports that the issue began when Ikwechegh assaulted Abuwatseya during a package delivery at his Abuja mansion on October 28.

A viral video captured the incident, leading to widespread outrage.

Abuwatseya earlier today apologized to Ikwechegh, which sparked VeryDarkMan’s criticism.

VeryDarkMan claimed Ikwechegh’s camp offered compensation to Abuwatseya after the incident gained online attention.

He suggested N20 million and a car as fair compensation, while Ikwechegh proposed N5 million and a car.

VeryDarkMan accused Abuwatseya of secretly collaborating with Ikwechegh, and expressed disappointment in the driver’s apology, believing it was coerced.

He emphasized that Abuwatseya turned against those who supported him during the controversy, stressing that as a result, Deji Adeyanju and Partners, his counsel, withdrew their legal representation.

The incident highlights concern about power dynamics and accountability in Nigeria, particularly when individuals in positions of authority are involved in conflicts with ordinary citizens.

VeryDarkMan’s criticism underscores the need for transparency and fairness in resolving such disputes.
