Sokoto United’s Ishaku Jibrin Earns Super Eagles B Team Call-Up

Sokoto United defender, Ishaku Jibrin has been invited to join the Super Eagles B team for the 2025 Africa Nations Championship qualifying match against Ghana.

Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen selected Jibrin alongside other top performers from the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The club announced Jibrin’s call-up on social media, stating: “We’re thrilled to announce Ishaku Jibrin’s invitation to the CHAN Eagles! His exceptional skills and dedication have earned him this national recognition.”

Jibrin will join the team for the qualifying fixture’s first leg, scheduled for December 20th-22nd, with the return leg following a week later.

The winner will secure a spot in the tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Morocco, and Tanzania.

This call-up underscores Jibrin’s impressive form and contributions to Sokoto United’s success.
