AC Milan striker, Alvaro Morata believes Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal has the potential to join the pantheon of football greats, alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In an interview, Morata praised Yamal’s exceptional talent, saying: “Every 20 or 30 years, one or two exceptional players emerge, like Cristiano and Messi. Lamine has everything to make history.”

Morata’s endorsement comes after Yamal’s impressive display in the 2024 season, earning him eighth place in the Ballon d’Or rankings and the Kopa Trophy for the world’s best young player.

Morata predicts Yamal will leave an indelible mark on Spanish football: “If he doesn’t become the greatest player in Spain’s history, he’ll definitely be one of them.”

With Messi and Ronaldo nearing the end of their illustrious careers – now playing for Inter Miami and Al Nassr respectively – the spotlight shines on the next generation.

Yamal’s rise hints at a promising future for football fans worldwide.
