Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky has reportedly flown out of Nigeria after being discharged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission a few days ago.
Although he did not identify his destination, Bobrisky revealed in a series of videos posted to his Instagram story on Monday morning that he was flying first class.
“We’ll see you soon, Nigeria. This girl purchased three first-class tickets, totaling more than 30 million. Raise the bar for this girl,” he boasted.
Bobrisky’s departure comes on the heels of a series of events that unfolded last week.
Recall that on Thursday night, the beleaguered cross-dresser was detained and removed from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Murtala Muhammed International Airport while attempting to go to London.
He claimed to have been injured during the event and updated his social media followers accordingly.
Following the scuffle, he was transported to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, where he was reportedly questioned about allegations that he bribed officials with N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.
He was eventually released on bail on Saturday after allegedly denying bribing the EFCC in a confessional statement given at the commission’s headquarters.
Bobrisky’s legal woes started in April 2024, when he was sentenced to six months in prison for drug misuse.
Although first imprisoned at Kirikiri Prison, rumors indicate that he was only detained for three weeks before being surreptitiously transported to an unidentified private location.
The issue worsened in September when a social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, published an audio tape allegedly revealing Bobrisky discussing the payment of EFCC officials to drop money laundering accusations against him.
