Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr crashed out of the King’s Cup on Tuesday, falling 1-0 to Al-Taawoun in the Round of 16.

The superstar forward had a chance to level the scores in second-half stoppage time, but he surprisingly missed a penalty kick.

Ronaldo’s effort sailed over the bar, sealing Al-Taawoun’s victory. Waleed Al-Ahmed’s 71st-minute strike proved to be the decisive goal.

The loss marks another disappointing chapter in Ronaldo’s tenure with Al Nassr. Since joining the Saudi Arabian club nearly two years ago, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still without a major trophy.

Al-Taawoun’s win at Al-Awwal Park was a significant upset, with Al Nassr entering the match as favorites. Ronaldo’s missed penalty will be remembered as a pivotal moment.

Despite his illustrious career, Ronaldo’s struggles in Saudi Arabia have raised questions about his ability to deliver on the biggest stage.

The pressure intensifies on Ronaldo and Al Nassr to secure silverware, with the King’s Cup elimination serving as a significant setback.

Ronaldo’s penalty miss will be scrutinized, but Al-Taawoun’s resilient performance deserves credit.

The Saudi Arabian side executed their game plan effectively, limiting Al Nassr’s scoring opportunities.

Al-Taawoun’s victory sets up an intriguing quarterfinal matchup, while Al Nassr must regroup.

Ronaldo will look to bounce back from this disappointment, but for now, the wait for his first major trophy with Al Nassr continues.
