The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has stated that the 2025 Budget and the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework include all of Ogun State’s developmental projects.

In line with the 2024 budget, he said, projects were allocated equally across the three Senatorial Districts.

At the town hall meeting on the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and 2025 Budget, which took place on Wednesday at the Bisi Rodipe Event Center in Ijebu-Ode, Abiodun made this announcement.

The governor said his administration has approved the reconstruction of certain key roads in the Ogun East Senatorial District and praised all stakeholders for their contributions during deliberations to create the 2024 budget.

According to the governor, the roads are as follows: Imoro-Imegun-Opopo, Igbeba-Eid prayer ground to Prison, Imoru road in Ijebu-Ode, and Odelewu-Ladeshi-Ishiwo.

The governor, who was represented by the Chief Economic Adviser and Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, stated that, despite the fiscal constraints on its resources, his administration has begun construction of over 64 kilometers of rural roads throughout the state.

Abiodun stated that the construction of the rural roads is a critical step in his administration’s continued commitment to expanding infrastructural development for simple rural access and increasing agricultural output in the state.

The governor stated that the building and imminent completion of the Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport would position the state as the sub-region’s key logistics hub, leveraging the Africa Quality Assurance Center established by the Africa Export-Import Bank.
