Lionel Messi, Argentina’s iconic captain, has made history once again as he scores a stunning hat-trick against Bolivia in the 2026 World Cup qualifier, equaling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 10 international hat-tricks.

Messi’s phenomenal performance led Argentina to a resounding 6-0 victory. In addition to his three goals, he also provided two assists, showcasing his exceptional skill and vision on the field.

This achievement marks another milestone in Messi’s illustrious career. Regarded by many as the greatest footballer of all time, he continues to break records and defy expectations.

The hat-trick against Bolivia was Messi’s 10th for Argentina, solidifying his position alongside Ronaldo as one of the most prolific goal-scorers in international football.

La Albiceleste’s convincing win keeps them on course to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

With 21 points, they lead the South American qualifying group, three points ahead of second-placed Colombia and six points clear of arch-rivals Brazil.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s night was less eventful as Portugal played out a 0-0 draw against Scotland in the UEFA Nations League, with superstar failing to find the back of the net.

Ronaldo’s frustration was evident as he threw tantrums on the pitch, visibly disappointed with the outcome.

Despite his impressive record, the Portuguese captain could not inspire his team to victory.

The contrast between Messi’s triumph and Ronaldo’s disappointment has sparked lively debate among football fans.

As the 2026 World Cup qualifiers unfold, Argentina and Portugal will face further challenges. Messi’s form will be crucial for La Albiceleste, while Ronaldo will seek to rediscover his scoring touch.

With their legacies forever intertwined, Messi and Ronaldo will continue to push each other to new heights.
