The death toll from the devastating tanker explosion in Jigawa State has risen to 105, with 70 others injured.

Cyber Reporters earlier reported that this tragic incident occurred on Wednesday in Taura Local Government Area, where a tanker’s petrol leak into a gutter sparked a deadly flame that engulfed the area.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident.

Just last Friday, another fuel tanker explosion occurred in Rivers State, burning over 100 vehicles and leaving an unknown number of casualties.

These incidents highlight the alarming frequency of tanker explosions in Nigeria and the urgent need for improved safety measures.

In the Jigawa State incident, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, spokesman for the Jigawa State Command, reported that villagers attempting to scoop up the leaked petrol inadvertently caused the explosion.

Emergency responders eventually extinguished the fire, thanks to the combined efforts of police officers, firefighters, and members of the public.
