In a bold rebuke to critics, Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church, has drawn a line in the sand, telling naysayers to “mind their business” regarding the church’s recent leadership changes.

The decision to retire two veteran Vice Presidents, Bishops Thomas Aremu and David Abioye, after decades of dedicated service, has sparked intense scrutiny.

Oyedepo addressed the controversy during a sermon at Bishop Aremu’s valedictory service at Winners Chapel, Orita Bashorun.

The bishop emphasized that the retirements align with the church’s operational guidelines, which have been in place since 1998 and revised in 2001 and 2024.

Oyedepo stressed that the ministry operates under divine guidance, citing Genesis 49:26 to remind critics that no one has a claim to a teacher or pastor’s inheritance.

He urged Bishop Aremu to remain focused on growth and pursuing God, ignoring baseless criticism.

With this stance, Oyedepo reaffirms the church’s commitment to its mission and values, despite external criticism.

He said: “My advice to commentators is to study to be quiet and mind your business. It is wisdom to learn what is working and find out what makes it work. Everything works here.

“There’s no such thing as the best today or tomorrow; what matters is your pursuit of God.”

Meanwhile, Bishop David Abioye, one of the retiring Vice Presidents, has spoken about his own journey and commitment to the ministry in the past.

In an interview, Bishop Abioye shared how he came to join Living Faith Church and his passion for serving under Oyedepo.

Despite the changes, it’s clear that the church remains dedicated to its mission and values.
