Air Peace has published a statement in response to the recent fraud allegations filed by the US Department of Justice against its CEO, Allen Onyema, and Chief of Finance/Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha.

The airline recognized the public’s concerns and stated that a judge is reviewing the issue.

In a statement posted on Sunday, Air Peace clarified that the charges are part of a lengthy legal process stemming from several years-old claims of financial impropriety.

The airline emphasized that, while the charges have been extended, they are still only allegations, and the case remains in court.

“Our legal team is fully engaged with the matter and is working tirelessly to ensure that justice prevails.” the statement read in part.

Air Peace expressed confidence that the truth will emerge through the legal process, resulting in Onyema and Eghagha’s exoneration.

Furthermore, the airline stated that Onyema and his legal team have constantly cooperated with authorities throughout the proceedings. Air Peace told its customers and stakeholders that operations will continue uninterrupted, demonstrating its commitment to providing dependable services.

“We want to assure the public that these legal proceedings will not affect the safety, reliability, or daily operations of Air Peace,” the statement concluded.

In similar news, Nigerian comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, has publicly called out Air Peace over their persistent flight delays.
